Death Note Episode 24

 Inspector Higuchi of the NPA's headquarters is arrested on charges of being Kira. When the team inspects Higuchi's Death Note, Near seizes an opportunity to see L's face. Because of this, L feels that it would be best to have Near and Mello work together to catch Kira, seeing as how he is unable to solve the case himself. Light makes a new Shinigami deal for his own shinigami eyes, which allow him to know the name of everyone whose face he sees. Using his restored abilities, Light helps Matsuda kill a bank robber who had a hostage. Meanwhile, Aizawa becomes suspicious of Light as his notebook continues to glow, and results in Teru Mikami being caught by the NPA again. Later on, Rem retrieves Misa Amane's Death Note from under the Higuchi Building and gives it back to her. Afterwards, the shinigami king holds another lottery involving shinigami eyes in order to decide who shall regain their eyesight. Ryuk wins again, so he remains on Earth with only 48 hours left before its time for him to go back home.

In the second arc, Light discovers that the FBI is working with L, the world's greatest detective, to try and discover his identity. Light begins to kill off anyone who learns his secret, creating a second Kira in the process.



Light Yagami, the owner of the Death Note, meets with the Shinigami Ryuk in order to have additional instructions on how to use the notebook. On their way, they encounter Misa Amane, who unsuccessfully attempts to kill Light.



This is an episode of Death Note, an anime series. The premise of the show is that a young high school student - Light Yagami - becomes a vigilante, killing criminals on behalf of a death god - Ryuk'.



This is an energetic, easygoing and spontaneous series that is well paced and moves things along at a break neck speed. The first half of the series was enticing and mysterious enough to keep me watching. I didn't want to stop. Unfortunately, the show deteriorated for me in the end with too many contrived situations just to progress the story to the dramatic ending. This was definitely not one of Shinigami's better works!



This is an action-mystery anime that was adapted from a Japanese novel written by Tsugumi Ohba.


A new death note is discovered when a young university student named Misa drops a shinigami's Death Note on Earth. The Death Note had belonged to her shinigami lover, Rem. Kiras true identity and his father's connection to the multi-billionaire Yotsuba Corporation are also revealed.

 Light, now known to the world as Kira, meets with L and the SPK. The team plays a tape of Light asking a reader to kill Misa's parents' killer in order to test his analytical skills. L then sends out a tape with his voice and Light's ordering Misa to reveal herself to the world and identify as "Misa Amane, the Second Kira". Rem explains how shinigami can die while protecting a human they deem important. In order to save Misa from death, Rem must not only protect her but also make sure she is never found out by humans.  While at Sakura TV, a cameraman named Hirokazu Ukita listens to the audio tape that is being broadcast on Sakura TV and dies. This makes the Kira task force realize that Kira no longer needs names, but faces to kill. The task force then realizes that the person behind the broadcast has to be another Kira. Meanwhile, Light Yagami decides he is getting involved with the investigation to gather information on "L". He introduces himself as 'Ryuzaki' and says he will help L find his next target.
